Lola — ES-2026-49022 — 5th in the 521 km Avirings OLR Final 3
Two documented final-stage performances beyond 500 km lead the credentials of Lola, a blue hen bred by Pedro Mompean. At Avirings OLR 2026, she finished 5th in Final 3 over 521 km and 26th in Final 2 over 501 km. The competition began with 3,214 birds and comprised eight races, including three approximately 500 km finals within 21 days. These are individual stage placings, supported by a pedigree combining Tom Van Gaver’s FINN Pair family with Luc & Hilde Sioen and the Olympic Candela family.
Lola is also explicitly recorded as a full sister to pigeons achieving leading regional results, including 3rd against 1,341 pigeons over 241 km and 4th against 2,741 pigeons over 161 km.
Paternal family: FINN and documented breeding results
Her sire, Luc Finn, BE-2024-4192294, bred by V. Gaver & A. Abajo, is a son of BE-2022-3086017 and Inbred Finn’s Mother, BE-2023-4180699. The former is the documented father of the 1st S-Final Race AFRIKAPRO 2024 winner against 1,753 pigeons; the latter bred a pigeon placed 8th Provincial Orleans against 10,180 birds in 2026.
Inbred Finn’s Mother is herself a daughter of FINN, BE-2015-4211540, and Hen FINN Pair, BE-2014-4282328. The Sioen branch also brings in Lola’s great-grandmother Eva, grandmother of Parro, a 1st National winner against 11,801 birds.
Maternal family: Olympic Candela and Olympic Luna
Her dam, Black Candela, BE-2024-4083550, is explicitly a half-sister to Olympic Candela and Olympic Luna. Olympic Candela earned the yearling bronze Olympic medal at Maastricht 2024 and ranked 2nd International World Best Pigeon, yearlings, FCI 2023. Olympic Luna was 1st National Olympic Ace Pigeon, category A, for Maastricht 2024.
Black Candela is a daughter of Black FINN, BE-2020-4037211, and M. Olympic Candela, PT-2019-9204298, the documented mother of Olympic Candela. Black FINN is bred directly from Cock FINN Pair and the same Hen FINN Pair appearing on Lola’s paternal side. Lola therefore offers her own long-distance OLR placings alongside a clearly established, repeated FINN Pair connection and distinguished collateral Olympic performers.
