“Candela Ricky” – BE-2026-4100782 is a chequer hen bred by V. Gaver & A. Abajo, combining her own Avrignos OLR performance with direct descent from Olympic Candela, Sweet 16 and Ricky, plus the Finn family.
At Avrignos OLR 2026, Candela Ricky placed 21st in Race 4 against 2,313 pigeons. Close-family performance adds further appeal: her nestmate brother achieved 24th in Final 1 over 501 km against 1,790 pigeons at the same event. These two results provide valuable racing evidence from the immediate family.
Her sire, “Sweet Candela” – BE-2024-4173379, is a son of Sweet 16 and Olympic Candela. This makes the offered hen a granddaughter of “Olympic Candela” – ES-2022-49151, bred by Alberto Abajo and winner of the yearling bronze Olympic medal at Maastricht in 2024. Olympic Candela also ranked 2nd International FCI World Best Pigeon, yearlings, in 2023—a significant international distinction behind this pedigree.
The paternal grandfather, “Sweet 16” – BE-2017-4163516, bred by Raf Den Haese, supplies documented long-distance quality. He was 6th National KBDB Ace Pigeon, long distance, old birds, in 2019, and achieved 6th National Cahors against 6,905 pigeons in 2019.
Her dam, “Rickys Finn 44” – BE-2022-4198244, bred by Tom Van Gaver, is a daughter of “Ricky” – BE-2013-4142684 and “Sister Finn 418” – BE-2017-4077418. Candela Ricky is therefore a granddaughter of Ricky, whose record includes 9th National KBDB Ace Pigeon in 2014 and 6th National against 9,815 pigeons. Her maternal grandmother connects her directly to the recorded Finn breeding pair, BE-2011-4310566 and BE-2014-4282328.
An appealing combination of Olympic recognition, national long-distance performance and immediate-family OLR results, brought together in a hen with clearly documented ancestry on both sides.

Payment Instructions:
After the auction closes (within 24 hours), the winning bidder will receive an email with a purchase confirmation and payment instructions. Please note that the total bid amount will be increased by the applicable VAT (11%).
Collection:
Collection from AviRings is possible after payment during office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you wish to have your purchased pigeon(s) collected by another person (such as a friend, acquaintance, or transporter), please inform us in advance via email at info@avirings.com.
Shipping:
Shipment is possible after payment has been received. Transport costs are not included in the purchase price and must be paid separately.
Transport Options:
In November, we will organize pigeon transport to Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Croatia. The transport cost will depend on the number of pigeons, approximately €10–15 per pigeon. Pigeons can also be collected at the Kassel Fair in Germany (November 28–29), or one day prior in the Netherlands and Belgium.
