DV-2024-02241-62 is a blue pigeon of the documented Ganus / Kornelius family, combining concentrated Wolverine ancestry with the maternal family of Golden Race Algarve winner Thomas 6. Its pedigree brings together substantial one-loft racing performances and valuable breeding connections.
The sire, WOLVERINEMIKE, GFL-2017-146, bred by Ganus Family Loft, is a son of WOLVERINE, BE-2009-3181936, paired to his own daughter Mike Has a Very Good One, GFL-2013-438. This father–daughter pairing gives the offered pigeon a concentrated Wolverine background. Its paternal grandmother earned more than $100,000 in the 2013/14 SAMDPR, with results including 14th against 5,189 pigeons, 19th against 5,791 pigeons and 53rd against 3,478 pigeons in the 411-mile final.
The sire’s family provides further winning evidence: his brother GFL567-15 bred VL 4-20, recorded as 1st Hoosier 2020 over 350 miles, winning $175,000. This is a collateral breeding achievement, adding depth to the paternal family.
The mother is Blue Jewels, GFL-2022-1136. Her maternal branch features THE KING, 03318-17-154, the documented father of Thomas 6, winner of the 2018 Golden Race Algarve by a remarkable 24-minute margin. THE KING is bred from Georg Fröhlingsdorf’s Josef and Crystal DIAMOND.
The offered pigeon’s maternal grandmother, Golden Jewels, 03801-16-689, is a sister to THE QUEEN, Thomas 6’s mother. Golden Jewels’ grandchildren are credited with 8th in a Victoria Falls final, 16th Ace Pigeon in 2019 and 20th in the 2020 Victoria Falls final. Her parents, Romario and Tochter Pitje, add the documented Ad Schaerlaeckens and Peter Janßen connections.
A compelling pedigree choice for breeders seeking concentrated Wolverine ancestry alongside the proven Thomas 6 and Golden Jewels family.
