DV-2025-08872-1 — concentrated Günter Prange breeding around “Olympia 1037” and the seven-time winner “520”. Bred by Rudolf Schlotmann, this 2025 pigeon brings together two Prange-bred parents, with “Olympia 1037” appearing as both maternal grandfather and paternal great-grandfather. A compelling pedigree built around documented international recognition, substantial race fields and repeated winning performance.
The sire, 02098-22-459, “Enkel Olympia 1037”, is a grandson of “Olympia 1037”. His father, 02098-20-583, is the full sibling of 02098-21-515, recorded as 1st National Olympiad Pigeon for Maastricht 2024, 1st National Ace Pigeon in May 2022 and 16th in the FCI world middle-distance ranking in 2022. This close collateral connection is a major supporting feature of the paternal family—not a performance attributed to the auction pigeon.
The dam, 02098-22-196, “Tochter Olympia 1037”, is a direct daughter of 02098-19-1037. “Olympia 1037” was the FCI world’s best middle-distance pigeon in 2020 and an Olympiad silver medallist at Oradea 2022, based on the 2019/2020 assessment period. His outstanding race record includes:
- 1st regional federation against 7,071 pigeons.
- 1st regional federation group against 2,234 pigeons.
- 2nd regional federation against 5,843 pigeons.
The dam’s mother, 02098-19-1100, is a direct daughter of 02098-08-520, making the auction pigeon a great-grandchild of this exceptional racer. “520” won seven 1st prizes against fields averaging 1,600 pigeons, at distances ranging from 260 to 680 km, alongside four 2nd prizes and two 3rd prizes. He also appears through several additional branches of the pedigree, reinforcing this proven racing connection.
The wider ancestry includes “Der Ringlose” 02098-95-12 as a direct ancestor, Gerard Koopman breeding through a daughter of Nillson × Galicia, and DeCeuninck-Vanhoucke breeding through a daughter of Vale Zwarten. The maternal family also carries Hubert Borker’s daughter of Totila × Halla. An attractive opportunity to acquire closely concentrated Prange ancestry with clearly documented championship and race-winning credentials.
