“West Ham” – Dan 242-26-258 is a blue-bar pigeon combining documented Danish racing performance with a Dutch marathon branch. Bred from “Roger” × “Lilly”, its pedigree brings together regional winners, long-distance ace pigeons and a close paternal family with outstanding national placings.
The parents provide direct racing credentials. Sire “Roger”, Dan 242-23-1430, recorded 9th Rødby against 1,419 pigeons. Dam “Lilly”, Dan 242-23-1428, achieved 6th Syke against 774 pigeons, with further recorded placings from Celle, Seevetal, Hannover, Parchim and Zarrentin.
A particularly strong supporting point is hen Dan 242-21-954, which shares Roger’s mother, NL-2018-1545524. She won 2nd National Völklingen and 3rd National Baden-Baden in 2025, following a ranking of 4th Long-Distance Ace Hen in 2024. These are performances of a close paternal relative, rather than results attributed to West Ham itself.
Proven performance continues through the direct ancestors:
- Paternal grandfather Dan 242-15-762: 1st Regional Borlänge against 374 pigeons over 559 km in 2019, with 42 prizes across five years and two section-winning offspring.
- Great-grandfather Dan 053-15-5829: 1st Section and 6th Regional Long-Distance Ace Cock in 2018.
- Great-grandmother Dan 242-15-748: three section victories, three long-distance ace-hen distinctions and Denmark’s No. 1 Olympic pigeon in Class D in 2020.
The paternal grandmother, NL-2018-1545524, supplies the explicitly recorded marathon blood. Her sire is described as a son of “New Witbuik”, credited in the pedigree with 1st Barcelona against 6,392 pigeons over 1,252 km in 2012. Her dam, NL-2015-1183219, is recorded as a granddaughter of “New Laureaat” and “Kleine Jade”.
West Ham offers an appealing blend of racing consistency, national-level family results and documented marathon ancestry—a pedigree whose strongest credentials are supported by named parents, direct ancestors and clearly identified relatives.
