Avirings 016 — BE-2026-2010016 combines the family of Jef, the 2019 International Barcelona winner, with the Leideman-associated Crack 19–Goed Grijs pairing and two documented lines of descent from Best Kittel. A pedigree bringing together international long-distance success, proven breeding results and national sprint quality.
The sire, Brother Jef 979 — BE-2023-2008979, is recorded as a brother to Jef, 1st International Barcelona 2019, and as the father of offspring winning 11th National Agen 2026. His parents are Eddy, bred by Eddy Fabre of Diest and explicitly recorded as Jef’s father, and 116 - Mother Jef. Eddy also bred a pigeon placed 15th in the Victoria Falls OLR final in 2022. This gives Avirings 016 a close connection to the Barcelona-winning family, backed by further national and one-loft breeding results.
On the maternal side, Avirings 016 is a grandchild of Song — NL-2023-9581926, whose first breeding season at André & Bert Leideman produced 1st Provincial Kerkrade against 10,846 pigeons. Song is a direct son of Crack 19 and Goed Grijs. Crack 19 was 1st Regional Middle-Distance Ace Pigeon in 2016, while Goed Grijs — BE-2015-6106415, bred by the Van den Brande brothers and raced by the Leideman brothers, won seven first prizes, including 1st NPO Laon against 6,371 pigeons.
The maternal grandmother, Daughter Junior — BE-2023-4181521, adds convincing breeding evidence: she is the mother of 4th in the 755 km Europa Masters extra final, winter race 2025, and of a youngster placed 2nd Frome against 1,399 young birds. She is a daughter of Junior, 2nd National KBDB Sprint Ace Pigeon 2018, paired to BKxGrizzle Mama 284. Both Junior and BKxGrizzle Mama 284 are direct offspring of Best Kittel — BE-2015-1029362, with the latter bred from Best Kittel × Grizzle Mama. Best Kittel therefore appears twice in Avirings 016’s fourth generation—a clearly documented reinforcement of this influential maternal line.
